Collecting logs for support
Here are the instructions you need in order to gather data that is necessary for fixing issues in the DingIt web player and website.
There are 2 logs that can help us fix any issues you're having.
The first is a Console log:
Step 1 - Right click on the background of the page (i.e. not the web player, or chat, or tiles, etc.).
Step 2 - Select ‘Inspect Element’.
Step 3 - A menu should appear at the bottom of the window now - navigate to the Console tab.
Step 4 - Copy and paste all lines of code into a .txt document and send it to our support desk via this contact form http://kb.dingit.tv/contact. Try to prefix the file with "USERNAMEWebPlayerDebug01".txt (where it says USERNAME, please enter the account name that you are viewing the broadcast with).
The second is a Web Player debug log:
Step 1 - When you type in the broadcaster page address, or when you are on the desired broadcaster page already, add "?octoshapelog=debug" onto the end of the address,e.g. www.dingit.tv/samdingit?octoshapelog=debug
Step 2 - After you have connected to the page, scroll down to the very bottom.
Step 3 - You should see a new section appear. Copy and paste all the lines of code into a .txt document and and send it to our support desk via this contact form http://kb.dingit.tv/contact. Try to prefix it with "USERNAMEWebPageDebug01".txt (where it says USERNAME, please enter the account name that you are viewing the broadcast with).
